Justice and Peace

Archbishop Nolan recently spoke of the role of Justice and Peace in the Church’s teaching. It is no less than to renew the face of the earth, respecting the dignity of every single human being.
In St Anthony’s and St Mark’s we hold to that aspiration.
Where appropriate, we encourage and take action on issues such as refugee detention centres, inter-faith understanding, nuclear weapons and climate change. We look for ways in which we can impact these from this Parish.
We also recognise that there are lots of charities and agencies doing great work to support the poor and under-privileged, to give them the dignity that is their right. We support, and encourage others to support, their work.
