Both churches in the parish have thriving Children’s Liturgy ministries. This is a worthwhile and rewarding ministry which helps bring the Word of God to children and young people at their own level and in an atmosphere of trust. At the 10:00 Sunday Mass at St Mark’s and the 11:30 Sunday Mass at St Anthony’s the children are taken by volunteer adults at the beginning of Mass to the Sacristy or Hall for their own mini service (stories and/or preparing drawings and their own prayers) returning after the Homily. Children of any age from about 2 to around 10 are welcome as are parents who can accompany them if they wish.
There are no qualifications required to work in this ministry. If you are interested in participating please, in the first instance, speak to Fr Reilly. This is in line with the Church’s policy on Safe Recruitment.
